Plagiarism Policy

The International Journal of Cultural Studies has adopted the principle of upholding legal integrity and publication ethics at the highest level. In this context, all submissions to be published in our journal must not contain any plagiarism (the use of another person's data, information, or results without citing the source).

Authors submitting articles are responsible for adhering to publication ethics guidelines. All submissions must be accompanied by a similarity search report for evaluation of plagiarism. This report is reviewed by the journal management. Authors must avoid any form of plagiarism, including quotations from their own work without proper citation. Works with a similarity rate exceeding 20% are generally not accepted. However, some special cases may be published at the discretion of the publishing institution, even if they exceed this rate.

Submitted articles must not have been previously published elsewhere and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. However, presentation at a brochure, conference, symposium, or similar event does not constitute an obstacle to publication. The editorial board ensures that all submitted works are reviewed to prevent and detect possible ethical violations. If such violations are definitively identified, authors may be requested to make corrections or withdraw the publication. In such cases, responsibility lies with the relevant author.
